Trump Announces Halt to Immigration from All Third-World Countries

Darwin, 28 November — U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a permanent halt to immigration from all third-world countries, following a shooting incident in Washington, D.C., in which two National Guard soldiers were injured.

Trump made the declaration on Friday (28 November) in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. Analysts warn that the decision could have far-reaching global consequences, as thousands of people from developing nations travel to the United States each year for education, employment, and better living opportunities.

The announcement comes a day after an Afghan national opened fire on two National Guard soldiers. The attacker had previously worked with the U.S. military and the CIA while in Afghanistan. When the Taliban took control of the country in 2021, he was brought to the U.S. under a special program introduced by former President Joe Biden’s administration. The incident has raised serious concerns about the country’s immigration system, prompting Trump’s sweeping new policy.

In his post, Trump wrote:
“We have made great advances in technology, but wrong immigration policies are destroying these achievements and making life harder for many people.”

“I have decided that to give our system a chance to recover, I will completely stop immigration from all third-world countries.”

Trump further stated that he intends to revoke the stay permissions of “millions of people who entered illegally during Joe Biden’s term,” describing Biden as someone who “secretly brought these people into the country.”

He added that anyone who does not contribute to the United States or does not “love the country wholeheartedly” will be removed. All government benefits and financial assistance for foreign nationals will be terminated, and those who disrupt peace could lose their citizenship.

“Any foreigner who becomes a burden, poses a security threat, or fails to adapt to American culture will be expelled,” Trump wrote. He said the measures aim to significantly reduce the number of illegal entrants and individuals who create problems, including those who entered under special arrangements.

Calling for immigrants to return to their home countries, Trump argued that it is the only way to “restore the United States to stability.”
