A Hindu youth was beaten and burned to death in Bangladesh, what happened?

Darwin, 20 December: A Hindu garment worker was beaten and burned to death by a gang in Bhaluka, Mymensingh district, Bangladesh, on charges of insulting religion.

RAB says that Dipu Chandra Das, a resident of Tarakanda police station in the district, who was working as a laborer at the Dubulia Pioneer Knit Factory, was forcibly taken out of his factory and killed on Thursday night.

“An unidentified agitated mob forcibly took the victim out of the factory at around 9 pm on Thursday night, accusing him of insulting the Prophet and religion, and created a riot, beating him to death with domestic weapons,” a press briefing by RAB said.

“Later, the victim’s body was hung from an island tree in the middle of the Dhaka-Mymensingh road at Jamirdia Square Masterbari bus stand and set on fire,” the RAB press release said, adding that seven people were arrested after analyzing the video of the incident and collecting other information.
