Darwin, 06 April : Russia has said that the ongoing conflict involving Iran is intensifying both geographically and economically, warning that the entire Middle East is now “burning” due to aggression against the country.
On Monday, the Kremlin stated that attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran have significantly escalated tensions across the region. According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the situation continues to deteriorate, with rising instability affecting not only the Middle East but also the global economy.
Peskov noted that the scope of the conflict has expanded and its consequences are being felt worldwide, particularly in terms of economic impact. He described the developments as extremely dangerous and negative outcomes of the aggression against Iran.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a strong warning in a social media post on Easter Sunday, threatening to strike Iran’s power plants and bridges if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened by Tuesday.
However, when asked about Trump’s remarks, the Kremlin declined to make a direct comment, stating only that it is closely monitoring the situation.
