Darwin, 15 April : U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni lacks “courage” regarding the Iran conflict. He made the remarks in an interview with an Italian newspaper.
The U.S. president said, “I am stunned by her behavior. I thought she had courage, but I was wrong.” He also said that Meloni believes the United States should do everything on her behalf.
Trump made this criticism after Meloni described his comments about Pope Leo as “unacceptable.”
Responding to Meloni’s remarks, Trump said, “She (Meloni) is the one who is unacceptable, because she does not care whether Iran obtains nuclear weapons. If they get the chance, they could blow Italy away in two minutes.”
