Darwin, 29 May: Turkish President extended Eid al-Adha greetings to the Muslim world while sharply criticizing Israeli Prime Minister , referring to him as a “tyrant.”
According to , Erdoğan made the remarks after performing Eid prayers at the , where he spoke to journalists about the ongoing situation in Gaza.
“I believe this tyrant known as Netanyahu will receive the necessary lesson from the Muslim world,” Erdoğan said, delivering a strongly worded criticism of the Israeli leader amid continuing tensions over the war in Gaza.
Earlier this week, Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with Iranian President to discuss bilateral relations between Türkiye and Iran, as well as regional and global developments.
During the call, Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye would continue to provide all possible support to help ensure that ongoing ceasefire talks regarding Gaza lead to a positive and constructive outcome.
The Turkish president has repeatedly voiced support for a ceasefire in Gaza and has remained one of the strongest critics of Israel’s military operations in the Palestinian territory.
