Darwin, August 01: China has said that no Chinese nationals were killed or injured in an Iranian strike on a Chinese company building in Kuwait.
Speaking at a regular press briefing on Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said Beijing had received no reports of any Chinese citizens being harmed in the attack.
She also urged the Kuwaiti government to take effective measures to ensure the safety and security of Chinese nationals and Chinese companies operating in the country.
Earlier, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said that a Chinese company building in northern Kuwait was struck in an attack on July 30. The incident killed one employee and caused extensive damage to the building.
