Biden Suffers Severe Pain as Cancer Spreads Throughout His Body

Darwin, August 10: Former U.S. President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has spread to other parts of his body, including his bones, and he is currently suffering from severe physical pain, his son Hunter Biden has said.

Speaking in an interview with the BBC’s Newsnight on Friday, Hunter Biden said his father’s cancer had spread beyond his prostate and bones to other parts of his body. He added that the illness had left the former president physically weakened.

A spokesperson for Joe Biden declined to comment on Hunter Biden’s remarks.

Biden announced in May 2025, less than four months after leaving the White House, that he had been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer. At the time, he said the cancer had already spread to his bones.

In October 2025, a spokesperson for Biden said he was undergoing radiation and hormone therapy as part of his cancer treatment.

Biden was the oldest person to be elected president of the United States when he won the 2020 election. During his presidency from 2021 to 2025, questions about his physical fitness and mental sharpness were frequently raised.

Despite his health challenges, Biden has continued to make occasional public appearances. In June this year, he attended the opening of former President Barack Obama’s presidential library in Chicago. Biden served as Obama’s vice president from 2009 to 2017.

Meanwhile, a memoir about Biden’s presidency is scheduled to be published on November 17 this year.
