US Offers Up to $10 Million for Information on Five Senior IRGC Commanders

IRGC

Darwin, August 26 : The United States has announced rewards of up to $10 million for information on the identities and whereabouts of five senior commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The announcement was made on Monday (August 25) by the US State Department’s Rewards for Justice program, Anadolu Agency reported.

The officials named in the reward offer are IRGC Commander Ahmad Vahidi; Ali Abdollahi, head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters; Saeed Aghajani, UAV commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force; Hamidreza Zolagharian, head of the IRGC Cyber-Electronic Command; and Majid Khademi, commander of the IRGC Intelligence Organization.

In a post on X, the Rewards for Justice program said the five individuals lead and oversee activities across various branches of the IRGC. It alleged that the IRGC is involved in planning, organizing and carrying out terrorist activities around the world.

The program said that individuals who provide actionable information that helps identify the officials or determine their whereabouts could receive financial rewards. In some cases, the United States may also offer assistance with relocation or resettlement to the US.

The latest reward offer comes amid ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran. The United States has previously launched similar initiatives seeking information on senior Iranian officials and key IRGC figures.

The US has designated the IRGC as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) since 2019. Washington alleges that the IRGC and its various branches support armed groups and conduct activities that threaten US personnel and infrastructure.
