Darwin, 11 July : U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that if the Iranian government succeeds in assassinating him or attempts to do so, the United States military will “completely destroy every part” of Iran. In a recent post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said that a comprehensive plan has already been put in place.
According to a report by the New York Post, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Friday night (July 10), “One thousand missiles are ready and aimed at Iran. If the Islamic Republic of Iran carries out its repeatedly stated threat to assassinate or attempt to assassinate the current President of the United States—me—thousands more missiles will immediately be launched.”
He added, “The orders have already been given. The United States military is prepared, willing, and fully capable of completely destroying every part of Iran.”
Trump also told the New York Post, “I have been their target for a long time. We are facing that kind of situation. I have simply left instructions that if anything happens to me, they should launch an unprecedented bombing campaign against Iran.”
It is worth noting that since Iranian General Qassem Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was killed in a U.S. strike ordered by Trump in 2020, Iran has repeatedly vowed to take revenge against him.
Recently, anti-Trump banners and slogans were seen at a gathering in Tehran associated with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Many participants held placards reading, “We will kill Trump.”
In addition, demonstrators were heard chanting, “By the blood of the Supreme Leader, Trump—we will kill you.”
Earlier this week, at the NATO summit in Turkey, Trump also referred to the assassination threats allegedly made against him by Iran.
“They had one group of leaders—they’re gone. Then another group came—they’re gone too. Now there’s a new leadership, and maybe they won’t be around either. Who knows?” Trump said.
He added, “And you know what? Maybe I won’t be around either, because I’m their number one target. Everybody knows that. They’re vicious. That’s how they’ve behaved for the last 47 years.”
