Five Fighter Jets Downed in India-Pakistan Clash: Trump

Darwin, 07 October— U.S. President Donald Trump is now facing a legal challenge over his recent decision to deploy National Guard troops to several American states, a move that has sparked intense political and constitutional debate across the country.

Several civil rights groups and state authorities have filed petitions questioning the legality of Trump’s directive, arguing that it violates both state sovereignty and established military deployment procedures. They claim the former president overstepped his constitutional limits by ordering troop mobilization without sufficient federal authorization.

Legal experts suggest the case could become a major test of the balance of power between the executive branch and state governments. Some analysts believe Trump’s move was aimed at asserting his political influence amid growing nationwide unrest, while his supporters argue it was necessary to restore “law and order.”

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to review the matter soon. In the meantime, governors of several states have called for immediate suspension of the deployment order until the court reaches a final verdict.

The issue has further deepened the country’s political divisions, with Trump’s allies defending the measure as a strong leadership act and critics calling it an unconstitutional power grab.
