At least 12 people were killed and more than 20 injured in a powerful explosion outside a district court building in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Tuesday.
According to police, the blast took place in the G-11 area near the entrance of the Islamabad District Court. Officials suspect it was a suicide attack. The site is usually crowded with lawyers, litigants, and visitors.
Local media showed images of police vans damaged and several injured people lying on the ground. Rescue teams and law enforcement rushed to the scene, and the area has been cordoned off.
This comes a day after an explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station in India killed 13 people and injured many others when a moving car suddenly exploded on Monday evening.
