Darwin, 02 March :
The United Kingdom has indirectly joined the war against Iran alongside the United States and Israel. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the UK has allowed the United States to use its military bases to strike Iran’s missile systems.
The British Prime Minister delivered a video message on Monday regarding the matter.
Starmer said, “Our friends in the Gulf region (the Middle East) have asked us to play a stronger role in ensuring their protection. Our British fighter jets are currently participating in joint defensive operations in the air… and they have already successfully intercepted several attacks launched by Iran.”
“However, the only way to completely eliminate this threat is to destroy the missiles at their source — meaning the warehouses in Iran where they are stored or the launchers from which they are fired.”
“The United States has requested permission to use British bases for specific and limited defensive purposes.”
“We have decided to accept that request. Our objective is to stop Iran from launching missiles across the region, from killing innocent people, from putting British citizens’ lives at risk, and from attacking countries that are not even involved in this conflict.”
