Alice Springs – 21 July 2025: Two adult women have been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred on Saturday morning at a service station on Larapinta Drive, Alice Springs.
According to the Northern Territory Police, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received multiple reports around 8:10am regarding a disturbance at the location.
It is alleged that after being refused service, the two women ransacked the store and threw items at a staff member, breaking the console booth. The staff member was not injured.
The offenders reportedly stole various items and fled the scene.
Police responded quickly and arrested both women, aged 20 and 22, in Ilparpa at 9:40am.
The women have been charged with Assault of a Worker, Damage to Property, and Disorderly Behaviour in a Public Place.
The 22-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in Alice Springs Court today.
The 20-year-old was granted bail and is scheduled to appear in Mutitjulu Court on 24 September 2025.
