Bangladesh Announces Squad for Asia Cup – Nurul Hasan Sohan and Saif Return

Darwin, August 23 – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the national squad for the upcoming Asia Cup and the T20I series against the Netherlands. Wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan and batter Saif Hassan have been recalled to the side. However, all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been left out of the main squad.

Nurul Hasan Sohan makes a return to the national side after nearly three years. His last appearance was during the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

Although Mehidy Hasan Miraz is not included in the main squad, he has been named among the standby players, along with Soumya Sarkar, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud.

Before participating in the Asia Cup, the same squad will face the Netherlands in a three-match T20I series starting on August 30 in Sylhet.
