India defeated Pakistan in a thrilling final of the Asia Cup, securing the championship for the second consecutive time and winning the trophy for the ninth time overall. Pakistan, despite a promising start, could not withstand India’s performance and were bowled out for just 146 runs. India chased down the target comfortably, winning by 5 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
Pakistan’s Struggle
Batting first, Pakistan lost their top order quickly, including three wickets for just 20 runs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan reached 57 runs before being dismissed by Tilak Verma, while Fakhar Zaman scored 46 before falling to Kuldeep Yadav. Saem Ayub contributed only 14 runs. The team was eventually all out for 146, leaving them far short of a competitive total.
