According to the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), the F-7 BGI training aircraft took off at 1:06 PM and crashed just 12 minutes later inside the compound of Milestone School and College in the Diabari area of Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The incident occurred at approximately 1:18 PM.

The Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed that one person died in the crash. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion followed by smoke and flames rising from the college building.
