Darwin, September 20 — Popular Bangladeshi model and actress Shabnam Faria has gotten married. The groom, Tanzim Tayyab, is currently serving as an Assistant Vice President at a leading private bank.

According to reports, the marriage ceremony took place on Friday after Asr prayer at Al Mustafa Mosque located on Madani Avenue in Dhaka, in the presence of close family members from both sides.

Guests at the ceremony were treated to dates and nuts.

Shabnam Faria’s husband, Tanzim Tayyab, hails from Rajshahi. He holds a postgraduate degree in Financial Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Expressing her feelings after the wedding, Faria told the media, “Marriage has always been a complex emotion for me, nothing short of terrifying.”

She further added, “After going through various complicated and personal experiences related to marriage, I felt that this chapter might never return to my life. However, with the flow of time and a sudden decision by the family, this union came to be.”

She also mentioned that due to the sudden nature of the wedding, her only sister-in-law, who lives abroad, couldn’t attend the event.

Regarding future plans, she said, “We’re planning to host a post-wedding reception with colleagues, relatives, and close ones. We seek everyone’s prayers and well wishes for this new journey.”

Shabnam Faria started her career as a model and later gained popularity through acting. Alongside single-episode and serial dramas, she made her big-screen debut with the film Debi, directed by Anam Biswas.

Previously, in 2018, Shabnam Faria married Harunur Rashid Apu, but the couple divorced two years later.
