The 19-year-old bravely shared that her path to the stage was often challenged by anxiety and self-doubt, struggles she has faced since childhood.

Delpopolo’s journey started unconventionally: she was pulled from the audience and encouraged to audition by Miller-Heidke, the coach who would guide her to victory.
For her final, winning performance, Miller-Heidke chose Celine Dion’s dramatic ballad, It’s All Coming Back To Me. Delpopolo admitted she was initially “starstruck” by the choice, but recognized the faith her coach had in her.
Miller-Heidke’s most valuable advice wasn’t musical—it was mental. Delpopolo revealed her coach focused on “calming my nerves” and helping her channel her anxiety, telling her to “believe in myself and be confident.”

Miller-Heidke chose a Celine Dion hit for the 19-year-old singer.
Following the final performance, a proud Miller-Heidke told her contestant: “To see you in all of your glory. Standing there in all of your power. It’s transcendent.”
As the newly crowned champion, Delpopolo takes home $100,000 cash and a recording development package.
Speaking on Sunrise, the singer, who previously worked at Bunnings, confirmed she plans to use the prize to launch her professional career in the pop and RnB space, citing Amy Winehouse as her “number one inspiration.”
“I think about that girl before the show—she was very shy and had a lot of self-doubt,” Delpopolo reflected. “I feel like this is a new, improved version of me.” She thanked her fans for making her dream come true.
