Do You Know This Car? Thieves Steal $120K Classic 1965 Riley Roadster from Rural Victorian Home

Victorian Police are appealing for urgent public assistance after a brazen burglary in Pentland Hills, west of Melbourne, resulted in the theft of a highly distinctive and valuable classic car.

Burglars entered a rural property on Dicksons Road sometime between midnight Saturday and 11:15 am Sunday, breaking into a shed before stealing the vehicles.

The main item stolen was a dark red 1965 Riley Roadster convertible, valued at an estimated $120,000. The car bears the distinctive registration plates: 75672H.

“This car is someone’s pride and joy and the product of hours of love,” said Detective Senior Constable Alexei Anikeev. “The Roadster is not something you see every day. It wouldn’t exactly blend in with Camrys or Corollas on the road.”

Also stolen during the raid was an orange RTM 450CC dirt bike, bearing the registration number 86278.

Due to the unique nature and high visibility of the classic convertible, police are hopeful that a member of the public may have spotted it since the weekend. Anyone who has information about the theft or the whereabouts of the vehicles is urged to contact their nearest police station immediately.
