The West Indies cricket team delivered a dominant performance to secure a massive 107-run win against the Zimbabwe national cricket team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Playing at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, West Indies produced a batting masterclass after being sent in to bat first. They posted one of the highest totals of the tournament, putting Zimbabwe under immediate pressure.
Top-order batter Shimron Hetmyer played a blistering knock, scoring a quick half-century and setting the tone for the innings. Captain Rovman Powell provided strong support with an aggressive cameo that further boosted the total.
In response, Zimbabwe struggled from the outset. Regular wickets halted any hopes of a competitive chase. Spinner Gudakesh Motie led the bowling attack brilliantly, claiming four crucial wickets to dismantle Zimbabwe’s batting lineup.
With this emphatic victory, West Indies registered one of the biggest winning margins by runs in the tournament so far, strengthening their position in the competition.
