Entertainment Desk: Bollywood’s much-anticipated film ‘No Entry 2’ has suffered a setback as producer Boney Kapoor faces another major change in the cast. After prolonged speculation, it has now been confirmed that Varun Dhawan is no longer part of the project.
The actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Haye Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, and news of his exit has emerged at this crucial time.
A source close to the production confirmed that there is no truth to earlier reports of Varun Dhawan being part of the film. The source said, “The reports about Varun Dhawan’s involvement are completely false and baseless. He is fully focused on promoting his next film.”
Following Varun’s sudden exit, there are also rumours that the project has been put on hold for now. However, discussions have reportedly started around Shahid Kapoor as a potential replacement.
Industry sources say Shahid Kapoor has already held preliminary talks with the makers of ‘No Entry 2’. He has reportedly heard the basic concept and may soon listen to the full script. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding his involvement.
Earlier, popular actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh also stepped away from the sequel last year. At the time, scheduling conflicts were cited as the reason, although reports of creative differences also surfaced. Producer Boney Kapoor later clarified that Diljit could not continue due to date issues.
Despite multiple changes in the cast, reports suggest that Arjun Kapoor is still associated with the project.
The original ‘No Entry’, directed by Anees Bazmee and released in 2005, was a major box office hit, featuring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan among others.
In a 2024 interview, Boney Kapoor had said that he had waited a long time to reunite the original cast for the sequel.
