Darwin, 30 May : Thousands of homes across Israel have reportedly been destroyed or severely damaged during the recent conflict with Iran, highlighting the scale of destruction caused by missile attacks and escalating regional tensions.
According to reports citing Israeli tax authorities and local media, at least 6,473 homes were destroyed or heavily damaged as a result of Iranian missile strikes. Several residential areas, particularly in central and southern Israel, suffered extensive destruction after ballistic missiles struck populated neighborhoods.
The conflict also forced more than 15,000 Israelis to flee their homes, with many displaced residents being relocated to temporary shelters and hotels. Authorities have reportedly been assessing structural damage while emergency crews continue recovery and repair efforts in affected communities.
In addition to residential destruction, key infrastructure and strategic facilities were also impacted. Reports indicate that some research facilities and public infrastructure sustained damage, raising concerns over the broader economic consequences of the conflict.
Despite Israel’s advanced air defense systems, analysts say several Iranian missiles managed to penetrate defenses and strike significant targets, exposing vulnerabilities during the confrontation.
However, figures regarding the overall scale of destruction vary among sources, and the reported number of 6,473 damaged homes is based on specific post-conflict assessments cited in media reports.
