Brazil Wake Up with 3–0 Win Over Haiti

Darwin, 20 June : Brazil returned to winning ways in style, producing a strong first-half performance to defeat Haiti 3–0 and rediscover their rhythm on the international stage. After a slow start to their campaign, the Seleção showed flashes of the attacking flair fans had been waiting for.

Much of Brazil’s brilliance came before halftime, as Vinícius Júnior and Matheus Cunha led the charge. Cunha struck twice in the 23rd and 36th minutes, with Vinícius heavily involved in both goals—providing the assist for the second.

Before the break, Vinícius also got his name on the scoresheet. Deep into first-half stoppage time, he latched onto a through ball from Lucas Paquetá, burst into the box, and calmly slotted home to make it 3–0.

After the interval, Brazil eased off the pressure and were unable to add further goals. Gabriel Martinelli came close in the 68th minute with a powerful effort from a Vinícius back pass, but his shot hit the post. Substitute Endrick also found the net later in the match, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Having already secured the result in the first half, Carlo Ancelotti’s side comfortably managed the game until the final whistle.

Brazil had earlier drawn their opening match against Morocco, but this victory moves them to the top of Group C with 4 points and a strong goal difference. Morocco sit second on the same points after a 1–0 win over Scotland, who remain third with 3 points.

Brazil will face Scotland in their final group match in Miami, where qualification for the knockout stage will be decided.
