The mysterious death of popular singer Zubeen Garg has taken a dramatic turn as his long-time manager Siddharth Sharma and North-East India Festival organizer Shyamkanu Mohanty have been arrested by police.
Zubeen was found drowned in Singapore on September 19, which sparked widespread grief and questions surrounding the circumstances of his death. In response, the Assam government formed a special investigative team to uncover the truth.
Investigators had summoned Siddharth and Mohanty, along with several other associates, for questioning. However, they went missing after receiving the notices. Authorities later tracked them down—Siddharth was detained in Gurgaon, while Mohanty was arrested at Delhi airport after returning from Singapore. Both were brought to Guwahati for further interrogation.
Earlier, Shekharjyoti Goswami, the drummer of Zubeen’s band, had also been arrested in connection with the case.
The fresh arrests have deepened the mystery, as fans and followers eagerly await clarity on what really happened to the beloved singer.
