LOS ANGELES – Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton died on Saturday at the age of 79 after a sudden illness. According to a death certificate obtained by CNN, the cause of death was listed as “primary bacterial pneumonia,” with no other contributing factors noted.
Keaton, a legendary figure in Hollywood known for her witty, singular style and profound talent, was rushed to a hospital by paramedics from her Los Angeles address on Saturday morning, a law enforcement source confirmed. The death certificate indicates that she has been cremated and that no autopsy was performed, as her passing appeared clearly to be from natural causes.
