Love Island’s Jessie Wynter and Will Young Reveal Secret Engagement

HOBART:  One of reality TV’s most enduring couples has finally made it official. Love Island stars Jessie Wynter and Will Young have announced their engagement, revealing they have been keeping the news a secret for nearly a month.

The proposal took place on December 9, 2025, at a breathtaking seaside location in Jessie’s home state of Tasmania. Will, 26, shared the news on social media four weeks after the event, ending years of feverish fan speculation.

With romantic photoshoots like this, we can understand the confusion.

“For over a year I’ve been planning this moment and keeping the biggest secret from Jessie,” Will shared. “I searched everywhere for the right place. I know how much she loves the ocean and the mountains and there’s nowhere she loves more than home.”

The couple chose to delay their public announcement to enjoy a “bubble” of privacy with Jessie’s family in Australia. “We wanted to soak up this moment together and be fully present before sharing it with the world,” Will explained.

The announcement comes as a relief to the couple’s millions of followers, who have famously “monitored” every romantic post for a ring. Fellow Love Island alum Phoebe Spiller previously joked on one of their vacation photos: “Stop making me think every post is A PROPOSAL.”

Jessie left Love Island Australia coupled up with former AFL player Todd.

The pair first met during Season 9 of Love Island UK in early 2023. While they narrowly missed the finale, their connection proved to be the strongest of the season. Following the show, Jessie, 29, relocated from Australia to Will’s family farm in Buckinghamshire, UK.

Since then, they have become a social media powerhouse, documenting their life on the farm and launching their successful podcast, Farmer Will and Jessie, in 2024.

As they prepare for a future as husband and wife, Will told his new fiancée: “Here’s to making you the happiest girl in the world, forever.”
