DHAKA : The capital city witnessed the start of a massive “March for Insaaf” (March for Justice) today, as the Inqilab Moncho took to the streets to demand accountability for the killing of its spokesperson, Sharif Osman Hadi.
The march commenced at the Shahbag intersection at 11:30 AM on Tuesday. Protesters gathered in large numbers, calling for the immediate arrest of those involved in the killing of Hadi and outlining a series of nationalistic and security-related demands.
The organizers have planned an extensive route to maximize visibility across the capital. From Shahbag, the procession is set to move through:
Science Lab & City College
Mohammadpur Tin Rastar Mor
Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals Memorial
Mirpur-10 & Uttara
Badda & Rampura
Jatrabari
The march is scheduled to conclude this evening back at “Hadi Square” in Shahbag, where a final rally will be held.
Beyond the call for justice for Hadi, the Inqilab Moncho has issued a four-point demand list to the interim authorities. Central to their grievances is the presence of “fascist collaborators” within civil and military intelligence agencies. The group is demanding that these individuals be identified, arrested, and brought to trial immediately to ensure the security of the state.
The organizers have warned that the judicial process against the entire network involved in Hadi’s murder—including planners and those providing shelter—must be completed within the next 24 days.
