Bangladeshi Winners of ‘Seeds for the Future’ Embark on China Tour

Darwin, August 18 —The eight winners of ‘Seeds for the Future 2025, Bangladesh’—a program organized by Huawei—have begun their 10-day tour to China. During the trip, they will participate in the Digital Talent Summit, receive training on 5G, AI, IoT, and Smart Cities, and take part in various cultural and networking activities.

According to a press release sent by Huawei Bangladesh on Sunday night (local time), participants from various countries are joining this phase of the global ‘Seeds for the Future 2025’ program, where they will gain exposure to the latest technologies and innovations. Alongside expert-led training, the winners will have opportunities to interact with industry leaders at the Digital Talent Summit, enabling them to gain real-world insights and perspectives to help them lead the future of Bangladesh’s ICT sector.

Tanvir Ahmed, Head of External Communications at Huawei South Asia, said, “This is the 12th time we are hosting the ‘Seeds for the Future’ program in Bangladesh. It is not just a competition for students but a unique opportunity to gain knowledge about ICT and telecom both at home and abroad. Bangladeshi students have established a strong presence in this global platform through their participation and performance.”

He added, “The program also provides great networking opportunities with participants from other countries. We believe this year’s winners will take full advantage of the program to enhance their skills and contribute meaningfully to Bangladesh’s digital journey.”

This year’s winners are-

  • Sayed Atif Raihan (American International University-Bangladesh)

  • Farisa Zainah Zaman (North South University)

  • Nafim Karim Khan (BRAC University)

  • Md. Rezwan Ullah (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology – BUET)

  • Tasnia Iffat (University of Dhaka)

  • Md. Safius Sifat (Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology – RUET)

  • Nufsat Faruq and Wasif Uddin (Islamic University of Technology – IUT)

These eight students were selected from nearly 3,000 applicants through a rigorous selection process that included interviews, written tests, and presentations.

Globally, the ‘Seeds for the Future’ program has made a significant impact. More than 18,000 students from 141 countries have directly benefited from it, with over 500 joint initiatives conducted in collaboration with top universities and colleges around the world.
