Darwin, 14 November –
Bollywood actress Kajol has sparked controversy once again with her latest comment about marriage. According to her, “Even marital relationships should have an expiry date.”
Her statement has set off a storm of discussion on social media, with many speculating whether there is trouble in her long marriage with actor Ajay Devgn.
The comment came during a special episode of the Amazon Prime talk show “Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle,” where host Twinkle Khanna asked her guests whether marriages should have an expiry date—or at least a renewal option.
While guests Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, and even Twinkle Khanna disagreed, Kajol sided with the idea, saying there should definitely be a renewal option. She went further, suggesting that having an expiry date for marriage would be even more important.
When Twinkle jokingly remarked, “Marriage isn’t a washing machine,” Kajol countered,
“That’s exactly what I think! There’s no guarantee that you’ll marry the right person at the right time. That’s why there should be a renewal option. But if marriages had an expiry date, neither partner would have to suffer.”
