DHAKA : The Jagannath University (JnU) administration has issued an emergency directive ordering all general students to vacate the campus by 3:30 PM today (Monday, December 29). The move comes as the university prepares for the highly anticipated Central Students’ Union (JnUCSU) and Hall Students’ Union elections.
The order was finalized through an emergency notice signed by the university’s Acting Registrar, Professor Dr. Md. Sheikh Gias Uddin. According to the administration, the measure is essential to ensure the smooth conduct of the polls, maintain strict discipline on the premises, and guarantee overall security during the electoral process.
Voting for the Central Students’ Union and various Hall Unions is scheduled to commence on Tuesday morning. The administration has emphasized that only authorized personnel and those directly involved in the election process will be permitted to remain on the grounds following the 3:30 PM deadline.
Students have been advised to cooperate with security personnel and administrative staff to ensure an orderly transition as the campus moves into a restricted-access phase for the duration of the elections.
